The greater Charlotte area has been one of the leading American cities for population growth the past five years,” noted Chris Helms, who is the Managing Partner. “I’ve lived near there my entire life and realized the current infrastructure would not be able to support the influx of people. Centerline was created to  address the situation, and to date, we’ve been able to do that.” Shortly after opening Centerline Contractors in Monroe, N.C., in September 2017, Helms hired his first six employees. The new venture’s first few jobs were contracts for self performance of utility installation and subcontracting all other work. Below are pictures of the first pipe set on December 22, 2017 and the first completed subdivision at Greenbrier Phase 3 in Waxhaw, NC. Today, we handle all areas of site preparation. Our history as a company is still brief.  However, our management level personnel have well over a hundred years of experience in the industry.  This experience and the relationships developed during those careers have paved the way for Centerline to deliver 744 finished lots during our first two years in business. We are excited and determined to build upon our early success by continuing to improve every day.
